Colleagues,
I am seeing these experiences since recent times on my two ntp servers:
[root@saturn ~]# ntpdc -c kern
localhost: timed out, nothing received
***Request timed out
[root@saturn ~]#
I do not have any restricts in my ntp.conf file. This is confusing me
as this was working before this time, although maybe I have changed
something.
[root@saturn ~]# /usr/local/sbin/ntpd --version
ntpd 4.2.7p255@1.2483-o Mon Jul 2 08:52:22 UTC 2012 (1)
[root@saturn ~]#
My ntp.conf is looking like this (FreeBSD 8.2)
[root@saturn ~]# cat /etc/ntp.conf
#
# $FreeBSD: src/etc/ntp.conf,v 1.2.2.1.6.1 2010/12/21 17:09:25 kensmith

# If a server loses sync with all upstream servers, NTP clients
# no longer follow that server. The local clock can be configured
# to provide a time source when this happens, but it should usually
# be configured on just one server on a network. For more details see

Maybe one of you is seeing something that I am not? I have two identical
servers that are showing this same error.
Thanks for the helping hands,
Ron
