Hi folks,

some of you may already have noted that another bug in Windows Vista/Windows
7 has been reported in NTP's bugzilla which may be the reason why time
synchronization under these Windows versions may not yield the expected
accuracy:
http://bugs.ntp.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2328

The guy who has brought this to our attention has also submitted a patch
which I've merged into the current ntp-dev version.

I've built some binaries which can be used for testing, if someone is
interested:

Release Build:
http://www.meinberg.de/download/ntp/windows/ntp-4.2.7p348+patches-release.zip

Debug Build:
http://www.meinberg.de/download/ntp/windows/ntp-4.2.7p348+patches-debug.zip

Please note I've just finished to build those version but haven't even tried
them myself, so be aware that problems might arise. However, I'll be mostly
offline for some days so I thought I'd make them anyway available right
now.

The binaries from the ZIP files can easily be copied over the binaries from
a standard installation, in the same way as David Taylor has described in
section "Updating NTP to a more recent version" on his web page:
http://www.satsignal.eu/ntp/setup.html
