Hi, I just installed ntp (Meinberg, once on Win7, once on a vps 2008 R2). On my Win 7 I see in C:\Program Files (x86)\NTP\etc the drift file but on the vps there is no drift-file?
And after starting (and several restarts) the time-difference getting bigger and bigger.
What's going wrong? Ntp is running, I can see it in the Task-Manager. The conf file (without comments):
restrict default nomodify notrap nopeer noquery restrict 127.0.0.1 restrict -6 ::1 driftfile "C:\Program Files (x86)\NTP\etc\ntp.drift" server 0.de.pool.ntp.org iburst server 1.de.pool.ntp.org iburst server 2.de.pool.ntp.org iburst server 1.nl.pool.ntp.org iburst server 2.uk.pool.ntp.org iburst
