There's a difference between finding cases where this has been done before and having working, tested code that we can easily deploy and use. And if there is a set of code out there now that does this, that would be great to know about. There's still the bit about "how do we tell ntpd what it needs to know to track time more smoothly?" We also don't know if we'll be participating in GSoC this year or not.
