Thanks for your elaborate reply (and the offer to setup a call) but for
the time being I'll try my luck using Chrony 3.x with the new 'offset'
server option pointed out by Miroslav.

The DCF600USB provides a 1 PPS signal internally, which can be easily
made available to the outside world. If you want you can give me a phone
