Hi all, We just submitted a new draft on an advanced scheduling option for multi-path QUIC https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ma-quic-mpqoe/. It’s an effort in collaboration with Yanmei Liu, Christian Huitema and Xiaobo Yu and is based on our experience at Alibaba.
We hope it can serve as a supplement to the general purpose scheduling draft draft-bonaventure-iccrg-schedulers-02. The proposed scheduling option is more QUIC specific and the target is applications that have tight latency-constraints. At a high level, it has two major components: (1) parallel transmission of duplicate data on several paths and (2) a client-server feedback mechanism that makes scheduling adaptive. Please take a look if you are interested and feel free to leave your comments. All feedback is appreciated! Cheers, Yunfei from Alimail macOS------------------------------------------------------------------ Sender:<[email protected]> Date:2022/05/18 14:03:52 Recipient:Christian Huitema<[email protected]>; Xiaobo Yu<[email protected]>; Yanmei Liu<[email protected]>; Ma, Yunfei<[email protected]> Theme:New Version Notification for draft-ma-quic-mpqoe-00.txt A new version of I-D, draft-ma-quic-mpqoe-00.txt has been successfully submitted by Yunfei Ma and posted to the IETF repository. The goal is to enable the use of multipath QUIC for applications that have tight latency constraints.
