Hi folks, Speaking as a chair, see below for some updates on qmux.
First, following the publication of draft-ietf-quic-qmux-01 [1], there has been some successful interop taking place with the test protocol of HTTP/3 over qmux. This is being loosely coordinated in the #qmux channel of the quic-dev slack. If you're not already there, please send an email to [email protected] Secondly, I previously indicated the possibility of holding an interim meeting before IETF 126. To follow up on that, at this moment holding a synchronous meeting doesn't seem like the most effective use of time when considering some of the scheduling complexities and the relatively small number and low complexity of issues. We anticipate dedicating a large part of the 126 agenda to this adopted work item. There are currently 8 PRs that address some of the most recent issues: https://github.com/quicwg/qmux/pulls Please take some time to review them if you can. The authors have indicated an intent to merge them in the coming weeks and cut a new draft, which can act as the next interop target to shake out any new or remaining issues ahead of IETF 126. As ever, changes to the document are an attempt to capture emerging consensus and are non final. Comments against the next published version of the draft will be equally considered.
