If you're not already participating in Meatout 2008, get on board! The recent
USDA recall of 143 million pounds of ground beef the largest beef recall ever
has given us a special opportunity to broadcast the Meatout message.
Represent your community by getting active in March. Small or large, activities
can include leafleting, information tables, exhibits, video screenings, walks,
and much more.

Here are some important updates:
FREE MATERIALS: Meatout Event Packs are ready to go! Register your plans with
us to request a full Meatout Event Pack containing display materials and
handouts. Or you may request handouts only.
RECALL NEWS: In the wake of USDAs largest ever recall of ground beef because
it came from sick, abused cows, Meatout is calling for recall of all meat
products, as they ALL come from abused animals. Brand new handouts and a DVD
are available for request. Order materials and find out more information about
the recall at www.Meatout.org/recall.htm.
FREE FOOD: Vegan food samples are now available for your outreach activities.
Participating manufacturers include Turtle Island Foods (Tofurky), Sunergia
Soyfoods, Dr. McDougall's Right Foods, Moo-Cluck, and Primal Spirit Foods.
