The convention for most "active ..." actions that I have used is to  
put them in a menu called 'subtypes'  see 
http://plone4artists.org/svn/projects/p4a.subtyper/ 
  and related Plone4Artists products.

I would suggest we do the same since I strongly object it to be in the  
display menu, there you should only have templates/views for the  
object not actions that modify it.
