They are only for Plone 3+. I had to break backward compatibility because the traversal machinery (that we use a lot) changed between Plone 2.5 and Plone 3. It doesn't surprise me that the templates aren't quite up to date, though. No idea what plone.belowcontenttitle gives, but presumably it makes sense to add it (and others).
