This causes individual words to be italicized, instead of whole titles.
While this makes no difference when italics are actually rendered as
italics, it does make a difference when underlining is used instead -
which is the default for "man" in a terminal. Word-by-word underlining
is not natural and hard to read.

I hoped that adding surrounding quotes to both titles would let them be
underlined as a whole, but that does not seem to work. Do you know any
solution to that problem? Or is "man" itself to blame?
