What does the QP download have to do with Metastock.. When you are updating your MS files the download has been completed to the QP database. I think it is insane to convert all lists to MS format. Buddy: 1. I use DSL 2. The reason for the slow download (normally about 20 minutes) is that Metastock has a crocky, obsolete, ancient data management system. Not at all as good as the QP data base. To sort of get around this limitation I download to Metastock the full AMEX, NASDAQ, and NYSE lists into separate folders. The first modem I had was 300 baud that ran on an Apple 2E, since then as technology improved I have updated to faster modems. Like the Model T the Apple 2E was a great computer in its day. I used it, my wife used it, two children used it at home and then in college for one year each and then our grandkids used it, It lasted for 10+ years and then gave up the ghost. Do you know of any current generation computers that can match this? You need to upgrade that 2400 baud modem!;) I'm on broadband now and it takes about 5 seconds to download and 30 seconds to process. With my 54kbps modem it took about a minute to download, maybe less. Now I only subscribe to the stock update, so maybe the update to "all data" subscribers might take longer.
