You can down load a free copy of Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition from
the following Web Site.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/vb/download/

The last time I checked, this free offer from Microsoft was good until
the end of 2006. Bookstores are also selling the book "Build a Program
Now!, Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition" that includes a copy
of the Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition software for $16.99 for the
book and software. An integrated development environment, Visual
Studio, is included with the software.

Subject: RE: [quotes-plus] Example using QP COM with VB.Net 2003

I've been out of pocket for 2 weeks hence the tardy reply.

1. Can I use a stand alone version of Basic ?
2. If VB Net is absolutely required, how do I access it and what does
it cost to use?

Thanks

Lionel
