The trin calculation is: TRIN = (# of advancing issues/# of declining issues)/(volume of advancing issues/volume of declining issues) For the NYSE, on 2-27, the numbers are: ( 456 / 2867 ) / (449 / 41820 ) = 14.18
The declining volume absolutely swamped the advancing volume, I don't eve remember it being that one sided.
