Gary,

but usually for dead symbols the close = high = low = open and the close price
will stay the same once the symbol is inactive, right? So if you leave them in
the database for 10 days then one would be able to scan for them quite easily.

If a symbol becomes inactive / delisted and the next day it is removed from the
databse then I will not be able to find it in time.

regards, Ed

  Hi

I want to get rid of dead symbols as soon as possible. It's impossible to
determine from the price and volume alone, so they take some research.

I hope to have them gone within 10 days.

The correction for BPO is out now.

  Best regards,

  Gary

    Gary,

how long will "dead" symbols remain in the database? Will I have time to
track them?

BPO has been split, not visible in the data. Adjusting stock splits seems
more important to me than just removing dead symbols from 1 day to the other,

      Hello

In tonight's download, there are a few index symbol changes.

!RUSS is now !RLG - Russell 1000 Growth
!RUSM is now !RMC - Russell Midcap
!RUVA is now !RLV - Russell 1000 Value
!SML6 is now !SML - S&P Small cap 600 index

Also !RMN - Mini Russell 2000 Index has been added

These changes bring our symbols in line with the CBOE option symbols for
these indexes.

      Best regards

      Gary Lyben
