This problem might not be related to a specific version of Windows 
but could be a Win patch common to all versions, except perhaps 
Vista.

Like James Barone I download QP data into 2 machines but have had no 
trouble with either. My desktop runs XP SP1 ...... I have Win Update 
turned off and have not installed a patch in over 2 years. My laptop 
runs Vista and I have been auto installing "important updates" since 
I bought it 2 months ago.

I wonder how many of those with problems have Win Update enabled?
