I have used QP with AGet EOD for many years. QP, for reasons I do not
understand, will not read commodity data from the QP database. This makes it
necessary to export all commodity data to ASCII or MS data formats which
AGet can read. This is a one-time deal for continuous contracts but a PIA
for individual contracts. I export to ASCII in a format which I have defined
in AGet.

I also use ASCII export for data for which I have more history than QP has.
I simply merge my data into the front of the file and let QP maintain the
whole file. Very handy.

I have long detested the kludges with MS format and don't mess with it
however I think you may need an add-in for AGet to read it.

Subject: [quotes-plus] reading data in advanced get

I have recently upgraded my QP subscription to include commodity data,
however Aget wont read it. However it still only reads my QP stock
data.

I have rescanned all QP data in Aget, created lists in QP of the
commodity data & then exported in metastock to seperate files & then
tried to import, but each time Aget will only read the stock data.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Wayne
