Hello Lionel -
The current chart program is a beta, there is no additional documentation at this time. Most of the changes have been directed at allowing people to easily export groups and lists so that they can be analyzed with software that read metastocks files. People who use Candlepower, MTPredictor etc. are the target for these changes. If you want to analyze a group of stocks like the SP500, you just right click on it and export, there are no scans to do, it's an easy process. We are now maintaing component lists for groups of etf's and indexes like HOLDR's, Ishares, Hemscott groups etc. All of these changes make it easy to select groups of stocks to export to other software. The next feature will be a screener that will allow you to select issues without scanning. Let me know what you want to see. The help system for QP is also very inadequate. The usefulness and the marketability of QP would be enhanced if it had a better help system. Do I continue to write scans with QP or can I write them directly into QP3. Just click Update Database to apply the data that was downloaded. Start - Programs - Quotes Plus - Update Database. It should be ok after that. Thanks, Ken Adams gary wrote: Hello Brett - This is included in any QP subscription, there is no additional charge. This installation replaces the Quotes plus dll, downloader and setup program. It installs the new chart program and downloads the latest Hemscott updates. It does not touch the old chart program, both chart programs will be functional. Your existing scans and lists will not be touched. Will it overly my current version or just install in new folders? If it overlays the current version will Ir pick up my existing Q-P scans? Thanks, Brett i gary <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Hello - There is a new beta chart version available at: http://www.qp2.com/qp32_setup.exe This version include the new Hemscott industry groups, there is a 10 year history of over 200 industry groups indexes updated daily. Also included is a much improved Metastock and ASCII export facility, just right clicking on almost anything will bring up a context menu that allows you to export stocks, etf's lists indexes as a group to Metastock or ASCII formats. Commodities are now included in the charts. A group performance view is included. There will be some movies up at the www.qp2.com web site later today. This version requires QP3 or above, it won't install on QP2.x.
