TTM stands for trailing 12 months and depending upon when EPS releases its earnings for the first quarter of 2009 the $4.22 could be for 2008 or the last 9 months of 2008 and the first 3 months of 2009. Where as the $1.66 estimate is for a different time period. The estimate is for the 2009 calendar year. Most likely EPS made a large profit in the first half of 2008 and analysts are expecting EPS to report a big drop in earnings in 2009 due to the recession.
