You should be able to close all running qutebrowser instances and do the following: $ git clone https://github.com/The-Compiler/qutebrowser.git $ cd qutebrowser $ git checkout v0.4.1 $ python3 -m qutebrowser --version If that shows you v0.4.1, start it via python3 -m qutebrowser and that's it.
