The codec that we'd want to use in qutecom would be Schrödinger, which
is the realtime implementation of the Dirac concept.  I am not entirely
sure it is ready for primetime, because I have not yet seen it
implemented anywhere, but I'd love to see qutecom premiere it, because
that would be a great boost to a free-and-open-source codec that could
compete with the vast amount of proprietary and/or patent-encumbered
options out there.
