Thanks Darshaka for your howto, it's really helpful. But I has a little "paranoia" for current versions of anything, so that's why it took me so long. So, my experiences:
Visual C++ really has to be 2005 (tested 2008, didn't work, didn't tested SP1) Qt is 4.4, no problem, just don't forgot to run nmake after you run configure ;) Boost... 35 doesn't work, 34.1 is ok MS SDKs... DirectX has to be the version you mention, newer ones missed some header file(s). Didn't tested latest Windows SDK. I built in on Windows XP SP3 on VirtualBox 1.6.2 on Ubuntu 8.04. Oh, and prepare at lest 10 GiB of free disk space on your virtual machine.
