Hello,

there are some questions I could not find answers for on the list.

1) What kind of "native" network environment does QuteCom require to properly
function with all it's features like voice, chat, presence, file transfer
etc?..

Which VoIP/IM underlying environment it is based on? What I mean is does it
require a dedicated VoIP soft-switch PLUS an XMPP/Jabber server? Or is the
QuteCom's NATIVE chat service based on SIP/SIMPLE protocol only, having all
other IM protocols supported by libpurple as "bonus"?

2) What about file-transfers? How should it be properly set-up to fulfill its
native ideology?

3) Does it support a kind of directory service so I can for example
automagically add contacts to a clients account as jabber's Roster does?..

I'm trying to setup a small and private Voice/Chat server for in-company use.
Currently we have an Asterisk appliance, but as I know Asterisk does not
natively support PRESENCE and SIP/SIMPLE. So I can build another server for
QuteCom based on a kind of soft-switch. The question is how should I do it
properly?

Regards,
Dmitry
