Just tested latest 3.0 - r47 and it still crashes - see log attached.
To reproduce the problem you can use http://www.ipcom.at/en/telephony/
QuteCom crashes in step (2) as shown in SIP flow below

The same works just fine with Twinkle or number of hardware phones.
