Hi Arthur,
Great advice! Thank you. I'll try it out.
I don't understand the concept of note numbers. Normally my version says
something like c4 or e#2 and so on, but I think I got the bottom line of the
idea.
Best regards
Brian

Hi, Here's one way I'd go about doing this for a single drum note.
First, find out which note the highhat you want to change is, IE, take a
look in the note editor and see what the key number is. If your working
with a gm layout, it will be 42, 44 or 46. Once you've found the note, use
the key split tool and specify the same note for both lower and upper
ranges. This will split the track into two portions, one with all the drum
notes and the other with just the high hat sound. Then on the track with
hjust the hat notes, use the velocity tool and make whatever adjustments
are necessary.
hth,
Arthur.

Subject: QWS List Another editing question
Hi,
It's not that I don't wanna read the manual, but I'm sure you have a
quick solution to this simple question.
Is it possible to change velocity only for a single key in a track? Here
is the practical reason:
I recorded a drum track and want to tighten up the high hat, and make it
sound a bit less human. grin But I don't want to lose all the dynamics
from the other drum parts.
Best regards
