No I can't find any. I have no idea how you would even install it because I have never done so before. I know with Creative sound cards you get the Creative Labs synth, which is fortunately somewhat better. It supports volume, reverb, modulation, pan, chorus, and maybe a few others but I really don't know those. Can't say much beyond that, though.

Subject: QWS List Software synth and thanks for tutorial.

Hi,

Since people are (rightly) criticising the MS synth for being crap, are there any recommendations of software midi synths, that would work with or without soundfonts and which could be used with QWS? At the moment, when I make something, I tend to convert it with Timidity++, the problem is, because the sounds are so different, it's not very reliable to compose it with the MS synth and play it with a different one, you're not too sure what the volume settings are going to do to the instruments, and so on.

Any clues?

BTW, thanks a lot for the tutorial, I thought it was quite good, and it shows how much can be done. I always like to know I have lots of room to grow.
