oh and jsut to let you know, when you adjust the velocity using the v option
for a single track, it only adjusts what is in the track so far. So if you
go and play something on top of that, it will not be offset by the given
value unless you use the master option. Just somehting worth noting.

well I'm not arthur, but I'll attempt to answer these questions. There is
a master velocity offset in qws, located in options menu / midi
assignments. Other than that, once you actually have notes in a track you
can press v on the track to change the velocity that way. As for volume,
the master volume should be one of the options on the keyboard. It is not
the volume you use in most cases, it is a menu item most likely. When you
first create a track in qws, you can set the channel, instrument, volume,
pan, reverb and chorus all in the properties dialog. Remember that you
cannot have two different instruments playing on one midi channel. TO do
this, press enter on a track. The actual shortcut is alt+enter, but enter
works as well and is easier. This brings up the properties dialog which is
pretty much self explanitory. If you have any questions about programs or
banks, send them here, because those can be a little confusing at first,
and I'm not sure how much experience you have had with midi in the past.
But to answer your question, if you have recorded a track and decide to
change the volume, you can do that. But you can also set it before you
record the track. Usually if I record a song with several tracks I end up
adjusting the volume of each after the track is complete. If you need me
to give you a general idea of how midi works concerning program and bank
numbers, or for someone else to do it, then just send a message out here,
