Hello Juan: I'll give the clean up tool a try next time, and hopefully that will solve the problem. In the event list, once the note length has been changed to beyond 22,000, typing "L", will not allow you to edit the length value.

You can try using the clean up tool in the track before modifying anything in regards to velocity. This tool is pretty accurate for its job and is a workaround to most midis (even the horribly sequenced ones you might download from the net some day). So just run the clean up tool before you change velocities. In some other cases I had also noticed that the notes were doubled (particularly in drum tracks). THis happened until I ran the clean up tool. You want to make sure to run it before, and not after, because runnning this tool after such things might eventually clean up most of your work anyway. If for some reason you cannot change a note length using the designated function keys from 22000 to say, 2000, enter it manually by going to the note editor or the event list, pressing l, then enter and then typing the number.
