Hi, actually there is a way to do this.
Go to preferences, then input plugins, then find the midi player.
Tab to configure and press space bar.
this opens a property sheet.
On the device tab find the combo box that is currently set to "none" this is actually titled "resets between tracks" but without use of your screen reader cursr you won't know this.
Arrow down to what you require, probably gm, try this first.
Tab to ok, and press space.
Shift tab to close and press space.
Now play some midis, this should be much better.
Hth.
Cheers!

Subject: [Bulk] QWS List Midi player which resets your equipment

Hi all,

For just playing MIDI files, I'm using Winamp. I love it, I can shuffle, etc. But it has one problem. Probably very few others do this either, but sometimes I'd love it to GM reset or whatever when playing a new file. That's because those files that don't reset your instruments and such play with whatever instruments were selected from the last MIDI file, and if some channel volumes or pans are off, they stay that way. There's not a way for Winamp to reset all that with each new file, is there? If not, is there a similarly easy to use MIDI player that will?
Thanks.
Jayson
