Hmm? I don't see anything like that. I'm wondering if this keyboard is too
old. Any suggestions about using Windows to re-detect the keyboard/device?
Would this keyboard need a driver, and if so, where might I find it?

Sounds like your usb midi device is not installed then. As Arthur pointed
out quite rightly, it should say something along the lines of, usb midi
1x1, or some other indication like that.
The Microsoft GS synth is not advised at all. It's latent, meaning that
you might play a key on your keyboard and get the sound back 2 seconds
later. If possible use the creative synth, but if your keyboard has good
sounds in it, once the midi device is installed correctly, use that. It
will be much more beneficial to you in the long run.

Under ports, and in the first item called Midi devices, it shows 3 items.
The last one is Microsoft wavetable GS SW synth. The first one is Midi
out
devices, and the second is Creative sound font synthesizer. I am
assuming I
want to make sure everything points to the Microsoft wavetable sw synth.
Is
this correct?

You got some advice, I'm just going to add a couple of points:
1) You need to create a track in QWS, otherwise there will be no sound.
So
until you create a track you cannot test if the keyboard is working.
2) If the USB port has been correctly installed, you should be able to
see
it on the list in options -> ports, in the MIDI IN devices bit. If it
does
not appear there, there is a problem of some sort.
