Thanks.  I've already uninstalled it.  So, will reinstall, and do that 
control panel thing you suggested.  Maybe I can get this thing back on the air 
after all!!

  You should find it, if your control panel is in classic mode, under start 
  menu >settings >control panel >sounds and Audio devices.
  Look under the audio tab, press alt F to take you to the default midi 
  device combo box, and see if it's there.  Hope that helps.
