Hi,

maybe so, but, the reason Apple's OS 10 was inaccessible for so long is because
they developed their Voiceover in house. In OS 9, I believe screen reader
access was provided by out spoken? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. And as
far as the breathing goes, lol, That wasn't in there first version of Voiceover
which was release in OSX 10.4 Tiger. It was put out with the Alex TTS in OS
10.5, Leopard. The screenreader in their first version of Voiceover was indeed
spotty. I won't argue that at all. But, I disagree with the flash over
function remark. Especially since you've put the wrong flash, to the wrong
function in this case. I've used many Windows machines, and in my experience,
all though you pay a higher up front cost for a Mac, they are generally more
dependable. Mainly, because of quality control, and 1 company being in in
charge of hardware and software. And I think its fair to point out, that was
their 1st attempt at a full fledged screen reader. Any one here ever used
Android? their screen reader was pretty limited the first couple of years.
and it has steadily improved. I find this to be the same with Mac OS and
Voiceover.

JMO. :).
