QWS List Nektar LX88 Impact Midi Controller with QWS Questions

Hello: I am trying to use this midi controller with QWS with the cool 
Soft midi synthesizer with different sound fonts. I have two problems. 
First of all, the delay is so bad that I am just totally behind. It is 
somewhere between a quarter and a half of a second. The second problem 
is when I press "C" on even a new project, I get a "C-SHARP". How can I 
address these to issues? I have successfully used QWS with lots of other 
synthesizers. This is my first go at a software based one though. Any 
suggestions are much appreciated.
