Maybe. Probably. Check he latency settings and lower them until you start to get sound quality or response problems. And if you're using the Microsoft Wavetable synth stop doing that, because it's a total latency pig. Go to BassMIDI or Coolsoft and load some nice sound fonts and you'll be much happier.
