Considering the price/availability of the 6082’s and the amount of heat
generated by them and having Tom Frobase’ solid state replacement on hand I
would just do it. That will those close by related parts a couple of more years
of cooler life.

Subject: [R-390] R-390(non-A) - Solid State Regulators??

A previous owner of my R-390 replaced the 26Z5W's with a solid-state bridge
that has worked fine for at least 20 years. Does it also make sense to
replace the 6082 regulators with a solid-state solution as well if B+ is
fine at the moment? I have a well-designed replacement from KitParts but
thinking maybe to hold off until it's needed? Any strong opinions in favor
or against?

Jerry
