In a way, that's good news ! Mine was completely dead when I find it. It came back alive after about 30 hours of work put into. Do not worry for the 4kC and below being silent: no mechanical filters that could fail in there, only coils and passive parts. After a complete cleanup, restoration and alignment, performance will be at par with any R-390A. You only need a LOT of patience and the will to "resurrect" it. And yes, it's a work of love !
