Unix versions of R CMD BATCH have reported proc.time() unless the script ends in q(). E.g. if the input is 'search()' the output is
> invisible(options(echo = TRUE)) > search() [1] ".GlobalEnv" "package:stats" "package:graphics" [4] "package:grDevices" "package:utils" "package:datasets" [7] "package:methods" "Autoloads" "package:base" > > proc.time() [1] 1.053 0.067 1.109 0.000 0.000 > This was undocumented, and not shared by the Windows version. Is it useful? Do people want it retained? -- Brian D.
