I think Rprofile.site as installed with R-2.6.2
contains some misleading information.
It contains the following lines
# set a CRAN mirror
# local({r <- getOption("repos")
# r["CRAN"] <- "http://my.local.cran";
# options(repos=r)})'.
Uncommenting these lines and changing the URL
will not work.
'. at the end of the last line will break the execution.
Furthermore
library(tools)
needs to be run before these lines can be run.
