"browseURL" o brwoseURL() has a new argument 'encodeIfNeeded' to use URLencode() in cases where it seems likely that would be helpful. (Unfortunately, those are hard to guess.) By the way, thank you !!! to the R developers for o cov() and cor() newly have the new option 'use = "everything"' as default, and so does var() with its default 'na.rm = FALSE'. This returns NA instead of signalling an error for NA observations. which seems as though it will restore the pre-2.7.0 behavior for all-missing data ...
