Hello,

R-help got the first annonce of SciViews-R [An alpha version (unstable,
still in development) of SciViews-R can be downloaded from
http://www.sciviews.org/SciViews-R. See also screenshots at
http://www.sciviews.org/software/rconsole.htm, etc.]

We think it should be nice if the various GUI projects for R adopted some
common (or similar) features that would be intercompatible between these
projects. One way to do that is through a R package that implements those
common features in pure R code. The SciViews package is a preliminary
attempt in this direction. We also propose some extensions that are useful
for GUIs: look at copy, export, view and report functions, for instance. A
manual explain it in more details
(ftp://ftp.umh.ac.be/pub/ftp_econum/Manual.pdf).

Any comments?

Best,

Philippe Grosjean
