With regard to this problem: stat20:/cygdrive/d/dirk/bands/implementation -> r CMD build --help Please set TMPDIR to a valid temporary directory I fixed it by setting a variable TMPDIR in Windows (right-clicked on "My Computer", then clicked on "Properties", "Advanced", "Environment Variables" and then set new variable called "TMPDIR".)
