I have this time series with 96000 data points which I am using R to analyze. The plots produced by some functions (like stl) were working fine in version 2.0.1, but the same plots are causing my machine to stop working all together in version 2.1.0. After trying several times, I uninstalled version 2.1.0 and install again 2.0.1, and the plots worked fine. So I think there is a bug introduced in version 2.1.0.
