Candidate must have specific experience using *Splunk* to identify possible security vulnerabilities or events. Candidate must then be able to track down root cause of these events and work with CIRT team to bring these events to remediation. *Required Skills: * • BS/BA in related discipline Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a related Math or Science discipline. In addition to 5+ years of experience in any related Information Technology field. Will consider additional related industry experience in lieu of degree. • Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, specifically Splunk, and security event correlation. • 2 years Splunk experience, specifically Splunk 6 analytics. • Proven Security Operation experience, including using Splunk to analyze IDS, IPS, Firewall, Proxy, Server, Middleware and Database logs and events. • Must have excellent communication skills(written and verbal) and have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management. Preferred Skills: • Experience in clustered Enterprise Splunk deployment • CISSP, Security +, or related information security certification. • PCI knowledge • CIRT experience *Additional Provisions * • Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check. • Once candidate’s resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process. • If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance. • All candidates must be a US Citizen, have permanent residence status (Green Card), or an H1-B Visa. • Cannot have more than 6 months cumulative travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.) • All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative. • Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization.
