This includes Hardware Configurations, Infrastructure Provisioning, Configuration, Administration, Support and Management in a 24/7 x 365 Production Environment. *Essential Job Functions* • Ability to solve technical, managerial or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge • Experience in communicating project plans and updates to a diverse set of customers and audiences from C-Level Executives to technical Points of Contacts. • Perform typical systems administration tasks of all VMware based virtualized systems like deployment, installation, configuration, support, maintenance and administration of hardware and operating systems • Administration for VMware vCloud Director, VMware Infrastructure services and monitoring tools including vRealize Operations Suite and third partyintegrations • Is conversant with security principles as they relate to IT technology and networking • Evaluate hardware and operating system requirements for compliance, conformity, applicability, performance, and cost effectiveness • Understanding of capacity planning, performance Monitoring and tuning • Assess utilization trends and make appropriate design and implementation recommendations to scale Infrastructure • Understands and is familiar with Cloud storage and technologies including Azure and Amazon Web Services • Assist in Documentation of Processes and Procedures and ensure Team, Department and Company procedures and policies are followed and adhered • Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to Windows & VMware platforms • Excellent track record in fundamental H/W troubleshooting & prior experience with vendor coordination • Provide 24/7 Administration and Support for Production Systems with Night & Weekend On-Call Support *Specific Requirements (Technical Knowledge, Software, Etc.)* • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Experience in VMware Infrastructure Provisioning, Configuration and Administration • Experience in deploying, installing, configuring, maintaining, administering, and troubleshooting hardware and operating systems • Experience in configuration, management and tuning of Systems with locally attached Storage or external Storage • Experience with Amazon Cloud Infrastructure and Services Management and Administration • Knowledge of automated build systems and tools including VMware vCloud Director and Orchestration • Experience in scripting languages for automating activities (ie: RestAPI) • Experience in Core Infrastructure services like DNS, NTP, Kerberos, Radius, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP, NFS, DHCP • Experience of Network Infrastructure and fundamentals on Switching, Routing and VLAN configurations *Tenure* • Minimum 4+ Years of experience in a Systems Administrator/Engineer Position · Recommended Career Path for This Position o Systems Engineer III *Education* · BS in Computer Science or related field.
