*Job Description:*
The primary role of the data analyst is to analyze source data with respect
to the business and data requirements and translate these requirements into
data quality themes that drive the data and ETL technical specifications
that provide the roadmap for implementation.
The technical domain of the data analysis includes data profiling, logical
and physical data modeling, and business and data quality rules.
In addition, initial project requirements include the Ab Initio DQE Tool
set up, configuration and coordination with client resources on
implementation of the tools in their environment.
This role will need to be capable of carrying out multiple functions
including data profiling, data analysis, pattern recognition and themes
against source data targets and creating/packaging the findings summary to
be presented, communicated and explained to Client Business SME
representatives and other Client vendors.
Develop required scripts, tools and methodology to perform these activities.

*Responsibilities:*
-           Ab Initio tool setup and coordination with the SWA Ab Initio
team on the configuration.
-           Profile & Analyze Source Data (Mainframe Extracts, Oracle
tables & UNIX flat files) usage using Ab Initio Data Quality Environment
(DQE).
-           Identify data migration themes and quality patterns represented
in the data analysis results.
-           Provide guidance to the ETL designers regarding data quality of
source data
-           Develop required scripts, tools and methodology to perform
these activities.
-           Coordinate with the SWA Ab Initio team on the configuration of
the Ab Initio tool
-           Review and update deep dive assessment worksheets for workshops.
-           Setup deep dive assessment output reporting structure.
-           Assess data during and in-between deep dive workshops (using Ab
Initio, assess data for the following)
Data volume
Data consistency
Data type
Data length
Cohesiveness to prescribed process enabled software solution
-              Conduct reporting and analysis on deep dive results
