I'm working with data that can exhibit either strong right- or left-skew. I understand the S-distribution is useful in such cases (e.g., Voit and Schwacke, 2000. Random Number Generation from Right-Skewed, Symmetric, and Left-Skewed Distributions. Risk Analysis 20 (1): 59-71). Does anyone know of any R implementation of this distribution?
