Thank you Santosh.
I am so new to R that I don't even have droplevels:
1> tcc2 = droplevels(tcc)
Error: could not find function "droplevels"
I looked up ?droplevels:
1> ?droplevels
No documentation for 'droplevels' in specified packages and libraries:
you could try '??droplevels'
1> ??droplevels
Help files with alias or concept or title matching droplevels using
fuzzy matching:
gdata::drop.levels Drop unused factor levels
Type '?PKG::FOO' to inspect entry 'PKG::FOO TITLE'.
However, droplevels is in the base package apparently, yet I haven't got it.
Can anyone explain this to me?
