Without more information on the format of the files, or any other thing, it is hard to give a full answer. But shortly: yes, it is possible.
With a bit more details: You can combine: readLines (or read.table, or what ever will work for your file), with list.files And run through them with a for loop. Now that I am writing this, I am wondering if it could be possible to do this in some parallel function, instead of with a loop...
