Dear R-team,

As an extension of my previous work (
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21377324) I am now about to handle new
obtained ordinal data. Disabled students had to rank their top 5 incentives
for participating in sport activities according to their personal
(subjective) importance. Individual hierarchies of incentives were
transformed so that now each dependent variable contains 6 values (5:
1st ranked,
to 1: 5th ranked or even 0: not selected).

Apparently, my ordinal data is already ranked, but it is far from normally
distributed. So I need to perform a non-parametric MANOVA (for a example a
3 x 2 x 2 factorial design). It is imperative to carry out multiple group
comparisons. Of course, one may take into account additional information,
e.g., the rank of sportÂ’s (importance) in the studentsÂ’ lives, which I have
also assessed.

I would like to ask, which of the R statistical program would be (the most)
appropriate for my design.

Best regards,

Panagiotis Varsamis
