Hi Rui, I started using package gdata instead.
But the day I need to write back to I .xlsx I will plan to use XLConnect. I started reading the vignette and it didn't sound too bad. I like it. Thanks. Maybe you are using the wrong architecture of R (32/64 bits). Package XLConnect is more flexible and a bit more complex, but it comes with a vignette that explains how to use it. Hope this helps, Rui Barradas Em 16-10-2012 18:57, Lopez, Dan escreveu: > Hi, > > I keep getting the below error regarding rJava which is required by package > xlsx (I have used it in the past to directly import data from Excel 2010). > > I was on R version 2.15.0 when I was getting this error this morning.
